Energy Recovery

Make the most of your energy recovery efforts!

We believe the future of industrial energy recovery is with Heat Pumps. With many manufacturers taking responsibility for their environmental impact, recovering and upgrading waste heat has become a priority. JOA has built a vast track record of integrating Heat Pumps to improve operations and Energy Recovery efficiency.

Industrial Heat pump

What makes it a industrial Heat Pump?

A heat pump is not very different from a chiller that has been widely deployed in the industry. The primary difference is that a chiller absorbs heat for cooling purposes. While a heat pump absorbs heat and releases it back at higher temperatures. In practice, chillers produce cold water while heat pump produces hot water or even steam.

Compared to commercial heat pumps that are deployed in homes and residential buildings, industrial heat pumps often offer significantly higher capacity, wider ranges of installation options, and improved robustness and efficiency.

Frequently Asked Questions

Industrial Heat Pumps FAQ

Industrial heat pumps typically have a co-efficient of performance (COP) of 3-5, meaning they can produce 3-5 units of heat energy for every 1 unit of electrical energy input. This makes them 3-5 times more efficient than conventional heating methods.

The cost largely depends on the size of the heat pump. As a general rule of thumb, equipment costs range from approximately €400 to €600 per required kW. This excludes installation cost and etc.
